oops! I did it again...

Happened to watch the movie- Pulp Fiction, the 'acclaimed' 'cult' 'movie'. Not sure what was the director's intent when he made the move. Q T the great had a decent image in my mindscape after Kill Bills, but he fell flat on his face after I watched(rather, waded through) this one. I do agree that the movie is slickly made and the screenplay is taut, but it borders on the verge of missing a coherent storyline. All the main characters seem to have a disease of talking a lot, talking fast and talking isn't talking if does not have a f****ing four letter word interspered five times every sentence. Not sure if this movie was ever released in India. It depcits drug abuse so graphically and killing a person is just like pointing a gun and boom.(ok..ok..we do have our own 'ab tak chappan' ;-) ) The big question I have after watching the movie: 'Is the culture in the United States as depicted in the movie?'

If there are any of my readers living out there in the US of A, please do post a comment. Visu, I do expect your feedback on American Culture. Overall, the movie although is wellmade, does not deserve the acclaim it has got, IMHO.

After a looong time, worked on weekends - Drat these hot customers. Logs a bug on Friday and wants a solution by Monday..Don't they realise that the 2 days in between are supposed to be weekends? even though I am not Christian, I do believe that I am not supposed to work on the sabbath. That does not mean that I dont come to office on weekends :-D; I do come but haven't worked on weekends for ages. As they say, find a job which you would love doing and you would never have to work ever after. --sigh--.

After the drubbing we got in the first test at Bangalore, I believed we were on the verge of an easy victory in Chennai...till the Australian Second Innings was in its second day. These guys don't know the meaning of losing without a fight. They have so much to learn from us Indians. (OK..we did show a bit of fight in the first test even if it was from IPathan and HSingh) Their middle order springs to life just when they are needed the most. This is blatant violation of Murphy's Law(from India's viewpoint, it would be an excellent proof, though). This seems to be an interesting viewpoint! 'If things can go wrong, it would do so at the most inoppurtune moment'. Going wrong is so relative, one man's wrong would be another man's right. So for every incident which is a proof of Murphy's Law, the same incident would disprove it also. hmmm....looks like I have stumbled on the theory of relativity of Murphy's Law. Need to file a patent ;-)

BTW, the title of the blog refers to this post only....
